What I don't collect

• Financial inputs in our database — PayoffCalcs has no account system or calculator database. Loan balances, rates, payments, and goals are processed in your browser. Share links place values after the # in the address. Browsers do not include that fragment in normal HTTP requests, although anyone you share the full link with can read it.
• Personal info — no name, email, phone, or address required to use any tool.
• Payment info — no credit cards, no billing, no paywall.

What might be collected automatically

This is standard website stuff, not specific to me:

• Ad cookies — Google AdSense may drop cookies to show relevant ads. These cookies don't contain your calculator data.
• Server logs — my hosting provider may log IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited for security and debugging. These logs aren't tied to you personally and get rotated regularly.

Advertising

If ads are enabled, ad networks like Google AdSense may use cookies to serve ads based on browsing history. You can opt out of personalized Google ads at Google Ads Settings.

How I use collected info

Any non-personal technical data is used for:

• Keeping the site running and secure
• Letting ad partners serve and measure ads
• Meeting legal obligations if required

I don't sell, rent, or trade any visitor data.

Security

The site runs on HTTPS and calculations happen locally in your browser. Shareable inputs are stored in the URL fragment after #, which is not sent in normal page requests. Treat a shared calculator link as sensitive if the values could identify your financial situation.

Kids

This site isn't meant for kids under 13. I don't knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child provided info here, email me and I'll delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights over any personal data collected:

• GDPR (European Union/UK): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and port your data. You can object to processing and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email payoffcalcs@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.
• CCPA (California): You have the right to know what personal data is collected, to delete it, to opt out of its sale, and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal data. Email payoffcalcs@gmail.com to exercise CCPA rights.
• Other jurisdictions: Contact us for any privacy-related request. We comply with applicable local laws.

Note: PayoffCalcs does not store calculator inputs in its own database. Inputs are processed in your browser and can appear in a share link after #. If advertising is enabled in the future, ad-network data collection is governed by those networks' own privacy policies.

Data retention

PayoffCalcs does not store your calculator inputs or results in its own database. Your hosting provider may log standard web traffic (IP addresses, pages visited) according to their own policies. These logs are not under our control.

Your choices

You can tell your browser to block cookies. The site will still work — you'll just see non-personalized ads.

Opt out of personalized ads from many networks at YourAdChoices or Your Online Choices.

Changes

If I update this policy, I'll change the "Last updated" date at the bottom. Check back occasionally — I won't email you about it.
